Become a Senior Manager, Data Standards and Integrated Planning at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you’ll be managing a group of subject matter experts responsible for developing, implementing and driving adoption of standards across SCE in areas such as Structured Data, AI, Unstructured Data and Records Management as well. Additionally, you will be responsible for leading the Integrated Planning function for Enterprise Information Governance, working with a variety of stakeholders such as Information Architects, OU Leadership and Enterprise Risk Management SMEs.

  • Collaborate with Digital Transformation peers including data analytics and AI implementations to ensure their goals and objectives are incorporated into strategic planning and standards development

  • Develop connections with industry peers, standard bodies, strategic vendors to benchmark and continuously improve.

  • Work with Sr. Leadership stakeholders, risk management to direct priorities for Standards SMEs and Integrated Planning

  • Drive implementation of standards across SCE, including plans for adoption, upskilling, and communicating new/changes to Standards in the areas of Data (structured and unstructured), AI and Records

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to manage feedback and develop plans to improve standards, including benchmarking with SCE peers, other industry leading standard bodies and vendor partners. Develop remediation plans and actively work with Audits to drive assurance

  • Partner with a variety of stakeholders and Sr. Leadership to develop integrated plans for the Enterprise Information Governance (EIG) portfolio at SCE

  • Work with Enterprise Risk to risk rank and prioritize EIG initiatives and present to Sr. Leadership to seek approval. Communicate approved plans to all impacted OU and IT stakeholders.

  • Develop strategic longer-term plans and roadmap taking into consideration SCE’s longer term business goals and Technology portfolio transformation

The essentials

  • 5 or more years of managing a team/supervisory experience or project management.

  • Experience leading/managing data governance related activities including\: planning, developing & implementing standards, and interacting with industry standard data organizations.

  • Experience working with multiple Utility organizational units or lines of business to understand risks and implementing standards and driving collaboration.

  • Experience with emerging technologies and related implications on data assets.

The preferred

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering or equivalent.

  • Certified Data Governance Professional (ICCP)

  • DAMA Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP)

You should know

  • This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
