Reyes Holdings Senior Manager, IT Strategy and Planning in Rosemont, Illinois

Position Summary:
The Sr. IT Manager, Strategy & Planning will lead all aspects of running corporate IT as a business. This leader will be responsible for strategy and planning, budgeting, quarterly operating plan review performance, portfolio management, resource forecasting, communications and other duties associated with business operations. The successful candidate develops strong relationships with business and IT leaders to understand and support business strategies. They will provide education to partners with regards to IT service offerings and strategy; and will influence senior leaders across multiple functions to align priorities and ensure stakeholder support for our strategies and plans.
Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
Manage the Strategy and Planning staff and resources to develop and manage the annual strategic planning for IT based on business and IT needs
Lead the annual project planning prioritization and financial budgeting activity for IT, working closely with stakeholders
Leads the management and governance of the Project Portfolio Management platform for all strategic planning activities including project/program development, initiation and demand management activities
Partner with IT portfolio owners, including application development, application maintenance, testing services, information security, finance, and supplier organizations to assemble strategic plans
Drives the IT strategic planning process, meeting with the senior IT leaders on a regular basis, representing IT in strategic business initiatives, and translating business requirements into IT activities and projects
Coordinates with the Finance IT Manager to develop and forecast IT’s annual budget in addition to managing IT’s financial risks and opportunities
Establish the multi-year IT roadmap for all budgeted and planned initiatives
Provide budgetary and resource demand forecasting to IT leaders according to forecasted strategic plans
Participates in the design and creation of service, technology, and project roadmaps supporting each shared service
Educates and guides leaders across multiple business units to ensure understanding of enterprise technology strategy

Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Math/Sciences or Business Administration with 8+ years of experience in IT Strategy & Planning, IT Architecture, IT Vendor Management and 4+ years of management experience. Or HS Diploma with 11+ years of above listed experience with 5+ years of management experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree
General knowledge of all IT disciplines and technology platforms, Agile and Lean principles
Demonstrated knowledge of major aspects of IT planning, IT operations and budget management
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including strong business acumen, financial planning and forecasting
Delivers departmental solutions to current standards and architectures required to achieve resiliency, security and scalability through automation
Excellent understanding of functional operational processes
Outstanding organizational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and attention to detail
Ability to gather and summarize business priorities, strategies, goals, emerging technologies, industry trends, and economic viability from multiple sources and stakeholders
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, teamwork skills, and an engaging personality
Expertise in IT Strategic Planning, Change Management, Financial and Business Operations
Hands-on and proven leadership experience creating and executing IT programs and strategic plans
Ability to develop strong relationships with senior leaders across the organization
An articulate and persuasive leader who can work effectively with both senior management and functional team members
A proven ability to effectively interface with a diverse range of roles at all levels
Ability to facilitate discussions and deliver engaging, well-organized presentations to senior executive leadership
Strong leadership skills and ability to drive organizational change
Ability to [lead and] collaborate effectively across teams in a high performing and matrixed team environment
Ability to help teams navigate ambiguity, change, and competing priorities to drive results in a collaborative and efficient manner without sacrificing quality or deviating from standards and procedures
Demonstrated commitment to a high level of customer service with stakeholders
Must possess a continuous improvement mindset with a demonstrated ability to identify and implement improvements that align with IT and business goals
Passion for excellence, with an unwavering desire to improve and inspires others to do the same
This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test
Preferred Skills and Experience:
10+ years of specific experience in a related role
5+ years of supervisory experience
Master’s degree preferred. (eg. MBA, etc.)
