About being our Utility Locator

As ourSubsurface Utility Locator, you will be reporting to the Project Manager, working on utility detection tasks, performing CCTV tasks, preparing utility letters, interpret utility drawings and produce utility maps and drawings.

Responsibility Highlights for our Utility Locator

• Field Utility detection
• CCTV for sanitary sewer and storm drain lines
• Preparing utility request letters, research and obtain utility records from utility providers
• Interpreting utility drawings
• Plotting evidence of utilities in drawings based on field survey and other locating methods
• Adjusting record utility locations to match field evidence
• Producing composite utility maps and drawings to facilitate project design and construction
• Coordinating with engineering teams and other stake holders

Minimum Qualifications to be our Utility Locator

• 3+ years of experience in utility detection work
• Working knowledge of:
  • GPR units
  • Electro-Magnetic utility detection equipment
  • Conductive rodders
• Working knowledge of how to detect utilities by use of multiple pieces of utility detection equipment

Preferred Qualifications for our Utility Locator

• Ability to create a Google Earth KMZ files
• Knowldege of Push Cameras
• Knowledge of CCTV systems
