Eaton Innovation Centre based in Prague, Roztoky is looking for a Simulation Engineer

for European Advanced Valve Train engineering team. This person will have responsibility to analyze and help to develop variable valvetrain systems for internal combustion engines.

Role comprises Virtual validation of Advance valvetrain system, in terms of Dynamic performance (GT) and Structural Mechanics (FEA). Support of new product introduction through advance simulation methods.

Job responsibilities:

• Conducts component/system analysis through kinematic and dynamic simulation using GT-SUITE of valvetrain components, system and related sub-systems.

• Builds FEA models for various advance valvetrain applications (ANSYS structural, LS-DYNA)

• Supports analysis with sound engineering explanation and hand calculation

• Uses test data to correlate and verify results. Works with product line and global test departments to define and oversee validation activities to verify design robustness

• Champions model based development and implementation of new engineering systems. Recommends alternative approaches and design solutions to meet functional and reliability requirements

• Creates technical reports to explain problems and solutions to various stakeholders of the program (product line, chief engineers, customers)"

We would like to know:

• MSc. degree qualification in mechanical engineering

• Experience in Mechanical System design - combustion engines

• Knowledge of ANSYS software

• Basic knowledge of GT Suite

• Interested simulations and analytics - dynamic performance (GT) and structural mechanics (FEA)

• Legally authorized to work in the Czech Republic
