Saint-Gobain Material Handler I in RUSSELLVILLE, Alabama
POSITION SUMMARY: The Warehouse/Forklift Operator is responsible for all aspects of loading and unloading of raw materials and finished product.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Safely operate a forklift.
Loading and Unloading Material (53’ vans, rail cars and containers including the (fiber (as of 01/06/2020)) from a dock and outdoor yard during all seasons and weather conditions. Installs padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit, using forklifts.
Read and understand what product(s) to select, how to load and unload trucks based off pick documents and bills of landing
Cycle count inventory weekly or as required
Follows the Logistics Standard Operating Procedures Support and Maintain Warehouse stock location system and code dates to ensure proper inventory turns and adherence to FIFO principles.
Provides high level Service to Customers and Transportation providers
Ability to safely lift, carry and stack up to 50lbs.
Responsible for performing SMATs and/or TFs and be an active participant in all other facility audit, manufacturing and efficiency programs. This includes WCM involvement in projects and/or meetings, as required. Incumbents are responsible for ensuring 5S standards are met and maintained. Incumbent is required to clean, paint, etc. to maintain 5S standards.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS: Qualifications/Skills/Experience
Must pass a forklift certification test and keep the certification in good standings
Mobile Warehouse Management Experience / Computer Literacy Required-
Good oral communication skills
Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
