Job Title: Entry Level Revit/CAD Drafter

Job Description

We are seeking an Entry Level Revit Drafter for the Spooling department. Our client designs, builds, operates, and maintains cyber-physical solutions for mission-critical facilities, secure environments, complex infrastructure, and global enterprises. In this role, you will receive training and be responsible for utilizing Revit to break up electrical 3D models created by designers into pieces for manufacturing, supporting the design of pathway layouts consistent with electrical designs, drafting shop drawings, isometric drawings, and plan views, reviewing and analyzing electrical drawings, specifications, and submittals, and performing equipment layout updates and data entry. You will work in a production environment and are expected to produce multiple drawings per week.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize Revit to break up electrical 3D models created by designers into pieces to be manufactured.

  • Support the design of pathway layouts consistent with electrical designs.

  • Draft shop drawings, isometric drawings, and plan views.

  • Review and analyze electrical drawings, specifications, and submittals.

  • Perform equipment layout updates and data entry.

  • Produce multiple drawings per week in a production environment.

Top Skills & Qualifications

  • Associates degree

  • CAD certificate

  • Revit architecture

  • Revit MEP

  • Electrical drafting knowledge preferred but not required

  • Construction or Mechanical background is a plus

  • 0-1 years of CAD/Revit experience

Work Environment

You will be part of the Caroline County office's team, located approximately 25 minutes north of Richmond. The drafting department consists of 26 individuals. You will work alone on drafting and designing electrical components and layouts for future electrical projects, including hospitals, schools, office buildings, and casinos. The role involves using two monitors for drafting and design. You will be led by a Detailing Manager and work approximately 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday, with some overtime required. Hours generally run from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM with three breaks during the day. The work attire is business casual. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00
