Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s/University degree.

  • 12+ years of project management experience.

  • Substantial experience in Financial Services Risk Management, including regulatory remediation initiatives.

  • Demonstrate a consistent track record having worked as a Program or Project Manager, Lead, managing teams and large, strategic cross-functional projects.

  • Previous program/project management, consulting, technology and/or management.

  • Solid understanding of relevant banking regulation and supervisory expectations for large complex financial institutions.

  • Observable and impactful delivery track record on business or risk function transformation.

  • Subject Matter Expertise in risk and controls disciplines within technology processes.

  • Extensive experience working closely with cross functional partners in risk management, technology and Front Line Units.

  • Track record of managing senior internal relationships and demonstrated experience in leading sustained change and change management efforts.

  • Working experience of partnering with Program Management Office and business stakeholders.

  • Ability to synthesize information, prioritize business goals and drive results with a high sense of urgency.

  • Strong ability to communicate (oral & written) clearly to both technical experts, non-technical business partners to facilitate discussions and clearly articulate findings and defend points of view amongst various groups.

Leadership Qualities:

  • Collaborative by nature, builds partnerships across the firm.

  • Knowledge of Financial Services, Risk Management, Risk and Controls, Program Management.

  • An excellent communicator who gets on well with others, building strong professional relationships.

  • Ability to create a strong network of relationships among peers, internal and external partners.

  • Ability to negotiate and influence at all levels, even in the absence of formal reporting relationship.

  • Risk and Controls focused, putting diligent risk management and security at the core of everything they do.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Master’s degree and managerial experience.

  • CAPM, PMP, PgMP

  • Experience working in a regulatory agency.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Assist with Book of Work activities from initiation through completion working with scrum teams, engineers, architects, application managers, Risk partners.

  • Escalation contact for STLS, SMT, Program/Project managers on risks and issues.

  • Internal and external reporting.

  • Communication of statuses, issues, and risk dispositions.

  • Ensure teams are within risk appetite for Tech and PM scorecards.

  • Manage and oversee the BOW Cross Function Internal and External plan dependencies.

  • Identify stakeholders in key organizations and build and manage relationships with each stakeholder.

  • Creation of multiple programs of work and manage their alignment to business goals.

  • Facilitation, coordination, and arbitration of cross-functional macro level topics within/across programs and with Senior Management.

  • Lead the identification and drive resolution of issues, including those outside established programs of work.

  • Work with stakeholders to ensure program scope definition meet business objectives and partner with Program Sponsor to ensure business case/cost benefit analysis is in line with business goals.

  • Drive adherence to program processes, procedures, methods, and standards for program delivery and leverage across the program.

  • Assist program team in negotiating for resources owned by other departments in order ensure the program is completed within stated timelines.

  • Present Technology Initiative highlights and updates to company’s Leadership, Board and Regulators as needed, with specific focus on risks, issues and action plans.
