The Accounts Payable Supervisor ensures compliance with company standards and oversees a team focused on managing accounts payables for the entire company. The incumbent provides excellent customer service while building sound vendor relationships creating positive pay habits and providing accurate responses to inquiries.
Key Responsibilities
- Trains, develops, and mentors accounts payable staff to maintain high standards of accuracy and efficiency in processing vendor invoices and payments, ensuring a high level of service to vendors, internal departments, and customers.
- Conducts regular staff check-ins to engage active dialogue and anticipate opportunities for learning and performance development coaching.
- Fosters a learning culture using industry best practices and leveraging individual skills and aptitudes to ensure optimization and maximize results achieved.
- Establishes collaborative relationships with Customer Service, Sales, Accounting, Operations and Management to reduce past due payables in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Participates in development projects associated with acquisition integrations and payable procedures.
- Provides coaching, direction, and guidance to accounts payable team members by effectively communicating, establishing clear goals and objectives, coaching team members on achieving goals, and ensuring access to training and development opportunities that assist employees in attaining the necessary skills to achieve team and company results.
- Participates in training and other learning opportunities to expand knowledge of the company, products, sales, and services and performs any other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and/or abide by our core values.
- Ensures compliance with all company, state, and federal policies, regulations, and laws regarding employment and employee safety.
Education, Experience & Qualifications
The successful candidate will have aBachelors Degree in accountingor equivalent years of experience, 4+ years of experience in an accounting related role, 4+ years of leadership experience and a demonstrated ability to work as part of a team in a collaborative environment.
Excellent listening, verbal and written communication, analytical, problem-solving, and formal presentation skills are essential.A general understanding of US GAAP,demonstratedproficiencywithMS Office 365 and accounting systems and an ability to work in afast paceddigital environmentarenecessary.
Experience with NetSuite and Coupaarebeneficial but notrequired.
