The team you will be a part of
The Procurement team identifies researches and evaluates suppliers that meet the organization's standards of price, quality, timing, and reliability of supply. Recognizes and evaluate sales, promotional campaigns, and other opportunities to secure reduced prices. Assesses supplier's products to ensure that they comply with specifications and meet the organization's quality standards.
This role in summary
We are looking for a buyer of Strategic Components for the direct materials team to serve all Whirlpool Categories (Refrigeration, Laundry, Cooking, etc). The buyer will be supporting LAR (Brazil and Argentina operations) and report to a local manager.
Your responsibilities will include
Negotiate with suppliers
Drive strategy in your space considering main KPIs (cost, quality, delivery, etc)
Scout new suppliers
Prepare and manage RFQs
Manage and negotiate contracts
Drive and implement cost take out initiatives
Make presentations to higher level leadership
Support other teams by being main POC for all topics related to suppliers
Minimum requirements
Bachelor's Degree
Solid experience in Procurement, Engineering, Supply Chain or other related areas
Excellent English skills (both written and spoken).
Demonstrated analytical skills
Preferred skills and experiences
Solid experience in Procurement (strategic components)
Self-driven approach towards deliveries and a good team player
SAP knowledge
Office/Google main tools knowledge
Technical background
Track record of cost take out implementation through commercial/technical projects
