Description We are searching for a detail-oriented Grant Accountant to join our team in Sacramento, California. In this role, you will be working closely with finance and program staff, playing an instrumental role in the financial reporting of government and non-profit grants and contracts. This position offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain multi-year grant and contract budgets reports

• Work collaboratively with finance and program staff to construct budgets for awarded grants and contracts

• Ensure reporting and financial objectives align with third-party grants and contracts

• Manage all associated invoices and ensure they meet the funder's requirements

• Review and reconcile all totals to approved budgets before finalizing invoices

• Conduct financial reporting for reimbursement of expenses and actual grant expenses

• Ensure all expenses are posted to the general ledger and included in financial reports

• Prepare budget modifications when required and make them available to the Program Officer

• Provide additional analyses relating to partners invoicing and expenses as needed

• Utilize Accounting Software Systems, Banner Ads, Concur, Accounting Functions, Auditing, Budget Processes, Compliance, Expenditure, Sage Intacct to perform duties

• Act as a backup grant accountant to Associate Controller, when necessary. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required

• Experience with Banner Ads is beneficial

• Proficiency in Concur software is necessary

• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions is expected

• Experience in Auditing is a must

• Familiarity with Budget Processes is needed

• Knowledge of Compliance procedures and regulations is crucial

• Experience in managing Expenditure is required

• Proficiency in Sage Intacct software is beneficial
