UL, LLC Senior HR Business Partner in Saint-Aubin, France
Under minimal direction, serves as the primary local HR partner for one or more regional sites spanning across multiple business units, divisions or functions. Acquires broad understanding of business divisions in order to support people strategies, enable talent development and improve retention at the local level. Manages employee relations, performance management, onboarding, compensation, and employee career development issues that require a detailed knowledge of the fundamental and advanced concepts and practices in Human Resources. Responsible for working with global HR colleagues and business leaders to provide responsive approaches and drives adoption of HR initiatives locally.
- Executes enterprise people strategies in collaboration with relevant HR functions and drive adoption of both business
and HR initiatives locally. Partner with local leaders to provide operational support for business change, identify
challenges and recommends solutions.
- Collaborates with leaders to drive One HR Culture, Diversity & Inclusion, employee engagement and retention
strategies locally. Partners with Site Leaders and works collaboratively with colleagues to improve the employee
experience locally and/or regionally.
Coaches and guides local leaders and provides responsive approaches to complex employee relations matters.
Using broad local employment law knowledge, identifies market conditions and trends impacting talent attraction and
retention and advises global/corporate HR partners on people and business implications.
- Executes people processes (including but not limited to onboarding, salary planning, talent development,
performance and exit management) leveraging workforce analytics and insights.
- Provides guidance and interpretation of HR policies, procedures and processes, to ensure local adoption and
compliance and identify areas of risk. Supports audit, compliance and other HR related programs locally.
- Identifies opportunities for developing new or revised human resources policies and procedures. Develops and
implements programs using knowledge of organizational goals and objectives.
Manages labor relations, including interactions with unions and works councils (WC).
University Degree in Human Resources Administration, Business Administration or a related discipline, plus generally
eight years of professional level Human Resources experience. Previous experience as a HR Business Partner
required.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and consultative client service skills with an ability to influence and manage
key relationships. Provides creative solutions at the tactical level. Experience managing a sizable internal customer
base.
- Detailed knowledge of labor law as well as market knowledge with respect to employee relations, recruitment,
compensation, and performance management.
Demonstrated proficiency with commonly used business and HR software applications.
In-depth technical HR expertise in one or more of the following areas: Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition, Rewards,
Talent Management or organizational change.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to use and interpret data to both guide and validate decisions.
Results oriented and able to quickly grasp the “big picture”, using insights from business leaders, global HR colleagues
and HR capability centers to provide recommendations to the business on the appropriate actions to take.
