- $80k-150k
Key Tasks:
Manage chemistry personnel and testing to ensure accuracy, timely completions and reporting of laboratory analysis
Evaluate daily workload and assure that work is being attended to
Monitor laboratory processes to ensure that acceptable levels of analytic performance are maintained. Includes review of quality control, and instrument and equipment maintenance.
Assure that all remedial actions are taken whenever test systems deviate from the laboratory’s established performance specifications
In the event of non-conformances, ensure that results of test examinations are not reported until all corrective actions have been taken and the test system is properly functioning
Verify that staff are trained and competent prior to performing testing on patient specimens independently
Verify that testing personnel are evaluated initially, at six months and thereafter annually, as being competent for assigned tasks
Maintain documents for all QC/QA activities and report them to the lab coordinator
Experience/Education:
Master’s degree with 3 years’ experience in a clinical environment
Bachelor’s in chemical, Physical, or Biological Science and 6 years-experience in clinical environment
ASCP/MT certification preferred
