Job Title: Electromechanic

Job Description

Join our dynamic maintenance team on the evening shift! As an electromechanic, you will be at the heart of our operation, ensuring all machinery is running smoothly. You will be in charge of answering maintenance calls, carrying out corrective maintenance on equipment such as conveyors, bombay sorters, tape machines, sensors and PLC. This role requires mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, changing parts or repairing gearboxes, motors, and other equipment as needed. You might also need to remove objects that get caught in the conveyor belt or perform preventative maintenance. Additionally, you will be required to write reports on the tasks you complete each day.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Saint-Laurent, Quebec.

Work Environment

Our work environment is dynamic and multicultural, with both French and English being spoken. The warehouse is clean and well maintained. You will be part of a large distribution center located in Ville Saint-Laurent, serving over 700 internal clients across Canada and the US. With around 300 people working in the warehouse, there is a lot of movement and variety in tasks, with equipment such as bombay sorters, conveyor belts, and tape machines. Forklifts, transpallets, and people circulate in the aisles picking orders. Rackings are 5 stories high, so comfort with heights is essential. Health and safety is a top priority. Initial training will occur on day shift: Mon-Thur 7:00-15:00, Fri 7:00-13:45. Regular shift is 15:00-23:00.
