About the role and what you’ll be doing:
We areseekinga highly skilled andtechnicalPrincipalProduct Manager to lead ourMainframeApplicationDevelopment andManagementmanaged servicesportfolio.The ideal candidate will have a strong background intechnologibesused inindustry applicationssuch asCOBOL,zOS,Assembler,PL/1, and databases, and willbe responsible foroverseeing theproduct strategy fordevelopment, enhancement, and maintenance ofclientmainframe applications. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent technical and leadership skills to drive product success and ensure alignment with businessobjectives.
Position reports toSr. Director, Product Management for Mainframe & Power
Key Areas of Focus for this Role
Develop and execute the product strategy for mainframe applicationmanagement services,owningtheproduct roadmap, product feature set, and product communicationensuring alignment with business goals and market needs.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define product vision, goals, and deliverables.
Leadthe productefforts tocreateapplicationmanagementand development servicesthat willhelp clients modernizeandmaintaintheir applicationcodeusing COBOL,zOS,Assembler,PL/1, and various databases.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, includingtechnical functionssuch asoperationsand engineering, and business units, to ensure successful product delivery.
Communicate effectively withclients andstakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and address any issues or concerns.
Manage product developmenttimelines, budgets, and resources to ensuretimelyand within-budget delivery of mainframe application projects.
Identifyand mitigate risks and resolve anyproductdevelopmentrelated issues.
Implement and oversee quality assurance processes to ensure the reliability, performance, and security ofclientmainframe applications.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the development team, ensuring best practices and high-quality code standards.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive innovation and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications:
8+ years of relevant experience working for a Managed IT Service, mainframe outsourcer, and/orHosting Provider.
8+ years’ experience in product managementwith a focus on mainframe applications.
Minimum of8-10years of experience in mainframe application development and management.
Proficient incommonMainframe technologiesincludingCOBOL,zOS,PL/1,Assembler,and databases.
Excellent technical skills in mainframe technologies and modern programming languages.
Expert knowledge of Mainframe platform architecture, including hardware, software, network, storage, and security components.
StrongDevOpsskills, with experience in Agile and Scrum methodologies.
Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
A bachelor’s degree in business or economics or equivalent experience.
Data analytics and integration experience.
Ability to translate technical, complex requirements into simple, actionable terms, and to commercialize offers for customer consumption.
Ability to manage multiple priorities infast-paced environment with flawless execution, working collaboratively with cross-functional, cross-cultural teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Program Management in a businessor technicalcapacity.
Experience with hybrid IT environments.
Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
