Work schedule - Monday - Friday 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM during probation; schedule could change to alternate shift after probationKey Accountabilities Sewer Operator-Mechanic I responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Operates, repairs, and performs preventative and corrective maintenance of wastewater collection systems and treatment facilities and related appurtenances including, but not limited to, chemical feeders, pumps, filtration and purification units, and standby generation and residual processing equipment to ensure the safe, reliable wastewater treatment and production of the highest effluent water quality. * Perform and/or assist the replacement of, repairs to, and the preventative maintenance of equipment and facilities, such as, calibration and modification to, and the maintenance of, equipment and facilities, such as but not limited to centrifugal and positive displacement machinery, transducers, recorders, data collection devices, diesel engines, generators, chemical feed and storage equipment, analytical measuring devices, electrical distribution and equipment, piping systems, process control equipment, residual process equipment, telemetry equipment, buildings and grounds, sewer mains, sewer openings, sewer laterals, and sewer cleanouts. * Reviews, monitors, and adjusts hydraulic, biological, and chemical processes to achieve and maintain established wastewater effluent quality standards and system requirements. * Investigate and diagnose hydraulic variations that may adversely impact system operations and customer service and initiate corrective action. * Prioritizes and coordinates tasks and/or activities required for the efficient and reliable operation of wastewater treatment and collection facilities and related appurtenances. * Locate Company facilities, and in accordance with the Underground Facility Program, mark-out Company facilities and initiate requests to mark-out of other utilities' facilities. * Receive, deliver, and handle chemicals and materials in accord with established CoTo view the full job description, click here
