Sales Proposal Engineer (Machinery) - Salem, Ohio - JOB 24-00289 Salary Range: $80k - $95k Permanent Position with Benefits. Salem, Ohio area manufacturer is seeking to hire an experienced Sales Proposal Engineer REQUIREMENTS • BSME, BSMET, BSEE or BSEET • 3+ years experience in an industrial machinery design environment • Assist the Sales Managers with bid preparation, presentation, & qualification documents for capitol equipment sales to potential customers • Cost Estimates, Sizing Systems, Components, Motors, Calculating Utility & Weight Requirements • P&I drawings & Mechanical drawings • CAD skills (AutoCAD, Inventor CAD, AutoCad Electrical) are a strong plus • Must be able to effectively read and understand mechanical, electrical and process drawings • Must understand machine building, mechanical and thermal processes. • Work with the Sales Manager to identify customer requirements and prepare proposals based on the requirements specified in the request for quotation (RFQ) • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills (word processing & spreadsheets • Assists management in the coordination of resources such as engineering, sales, drafting/design and estimating in order to develop a technical and commercial proposal that complies with Company standards and meets the needs of the customer • Support the Sales Manager in meeting proposal schedules and workflows in a cost efficient and effective manner, and maintain a good working relationship between departments • Occasional international and domestic travel may be required • Detail oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills Candidates are required to pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.
