CNC Setup Machine Operator
Adecco is hiring a permanent CNC Setup Operator for a major manufacturer in Salem. This position requires experience with programming and setting up CNC mills and lathes.
Shift time: 04:30 PM - 03:00 AM [Lunch: 08:00 PM - 08:30 PM]
Hourly Rate $ 24.50
Operate and configure conventional and computer-controlled machinery to produce metallic and nonmetallic components. Apply principles of machine shop practices, calculations, and assigned tasks to manufacture high-quality parts, ensuring production and scheduling objectives are met.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement production plans by selecting, installing, and adjusting tools, offsets, and fixtures.
Utilize engineering blueprints and production procedures to prepare machinery for operation.
Conduct initial product inspections and employ precise measuring instruments to verify quality standards.
Report equipment malfunctions and process discrepancies to designated personnel.
Maintain product quality through accurate counts and adherence to production targets.
Identify and propose process improvements, such as new fixtures, tooling, or combined operations.
Optimize cycle times, maintain a clean workspace, and comply with all company safety regulations.
Depending on machinery, load work programs, adjust offsets, and establish zero points.
Education and Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Five (5) years of experience in manufacturing.
Required Skills:
General understanding of manufacturing techniques and methods.
Proficiency in machine setup and operation.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and utilize precision measuring tools.
Adherence to safety protocols for operating specified equipment.
Pay Details: $24.50 to $26.50 per hour
