Robert Half Assistant Controller in Salinas, California
Description We are offering an opportunity for an Assistant Controller in the Agriculture industry, located in Salinas, California. The role involves managing accounting functions and utilizing various software systems. The individual will be responsible for the efficient operation of accounting activities and the resolution of associated issues.
Responsibilities:
• Utilizing Accounting Software Systems to carry out financial processes
• Engaging with ADP - Financial Services for payroll processing and related activities
• Managing expense reporting and approval through the Concur system
• Generating financial reports using Crystal Reports software
• Ensuring compliance with Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) standards
• Overseeing all accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) to maintain financial stability
• Conducting regular auditing processes to ensure financial integrity
• Overseeing billing functions to ensure timely and accurate invoicing
• Leveraging your skills to improve financial processes and systems. Requirements • Proven experience in the field of Agriculture as an Assistant Controller or similar role
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services
• Demonstrated experience with Concur and Crystal Reports
• Understanding of DCAA regulations and requirements
• Proficiency in managing Accounting Functions
• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Knowledge and experience in Auditing processes
• Experience in managing Billing Functions
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion.
