CAR CITY INC. Automotive Mechanic (PERM) in SALT LAKE CITY, Utah
Car City Inc. in Salt Lake City is hiring for full-time Automotive Mechanic, two (2) openings. Duties: Review work orders and discuss work with supervisors and technicians; Examine vehicles to determine extent of damage or malfunctions; Follow checklists to ensure all important parts are examined, including belts, hoses, steering systems, spark plugs, brake and fuel systems, wheel bearings, and other potentially troublesome areas; Test and adjust repaired systems to meet manufacturers' performance specifications; Repair, reline, replace, and adjust brakes, Tear down, repair, and rebuild faulty assemblies, such as power systems, steering systems, and linkages; Repair and service air conditioning, heating, engine cooling, and electrical systems; Disassemble units and inspect parts for wear, using micrometers, calipers, and gauges; Install and repair accessories, such as radios, heaters, mirrors, and windshield wipers: Adjust equipment to ensure optimal performance; Replace worn, damaged, or defective mechanical parts and; Maintain cleanliness of work area. Wage: $51,000 - $55,000/year. Hours: 8:30am - 5:30pm, off Sat. and Sun. Requirements: Must have two years experience in auto mechanics , an associates degree in auto mechanics, or a post high school two year training certificate in auto mechanics. Experience must show willingness to be exposed to contaminants and hazardous conditions most of the day, ability to stand 75% of the day, and ability to use pneumatic tools.
