Job Summary & Deliverables

 

 Our new Children, Youth, and Family campus opened in the Fall of 2022. These programs became our Children, Youth, and Family Day Treatment Services.  We are excited to continue the excellent services of these programs under a new name and in a new beautiful space. The new facility has a play therapy, sand tray therapy, music therapy, and art therapy rooms. 

 

  The Behavior Aide provides educational and developmental support to adolescents and children with behavioral health challenges in a clinical or classroom setting. The Behavior Aide assists the treatment team by helping clients learn skills and behaviors to be successful in their home and community environments.

 

Essential Functions

  • Assists clients with participation in classroom, skills groups, and educational outings according to their abilities and needs

  • Assists the treatment team in providing academic and therapeutic structure through the application of behavioral techniques and procedures

  • Implements therapeutic and behavioral interventions to encourage and support self- management, communication, and social skills

  • Documents client care activities and meets productivity standards

  • Charts the progress of assigned clients through progress notes to ensure the ongoing evaluation of client strengths and opportunities

  • Provides input and recommendations to the treatment team for the development and implementation of the Treatment Plan and the Behavioral Intervention/Management Plan

  • Assists in de-escalating clients when necessary or intervening when the behavior of an individual poses a threat of harm to themselves and/or others

  • Supports client health by assisting with hygiene responsibilities as required
