This position reports to the Assistant Dean of the Career Development Office (CDO Dean) and works closely in all aspects of operating the Career Development office (CDO) as set forth below, including executive, strategic, operational, and administrative decision making and oversight.The position involves directing and overseeing numerous programs, initiatives, and efforts, often simultaneously, while maintaining the strategic vision of the CDO Dean. The position is central to the success of the office, both in terms of day-to-day operations and in achieving long-term objectives. The position will advise on numerous matters, both internal and external, essential to the success of the office. This position has the primary day-to-day responsibility for managing the operations of the CDO. This position helps oversee student and alumni counseling, student and alumni employment data collection, and program creation and execution. The position assists and advises the CDO Dean in establishing the budget for the organization to carry out its mission, and tracking expenditures and performance of same. The position is involved in extensive outreach to stakeholders, establishing and cultivating strong relationships to provide extensive employment opportunities for students and alumni, increase the brand of the schools, and in support of other units within the school. This position ensures continuity and quality customer service between internal College of Law departments, university departments, the legal community, students, and other stakeholders. This position actively participates in outreach to the bench and bar, including membership and participation in relevant bar or other organizations, and participates in donor development related activities as needed.The uniqueness of this position does require some after hours and offsite work.
