We're on the lookout for an experienced accounting professional to take on the permanent role of Senior Accountant at a well-respected corporation in the Salt Lake City, Utah area. As a Senior Accountant, you will be required to perform financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Key responsibilities
Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Offer involvement in various department-wide initiatives
Produce error-free monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
Contribute to coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Provide monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
When working with business partners, ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls. Additionally, be able to provide support on special requests
Review financial information such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc. and present analysis in a clear manner
Provide Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Coordinate Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Requirements - Experience with ERP systems
Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing
3+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
SEC reporting and SOX compliance is a plus
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines
Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision
Able to manage time well
Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
General familiarity with Prepare Trial Balance
General ledger experience
Experience with Complex Transaction
Proficiency in Ledger Reconciliations
Bank Account Reconciliation experience
Practical knowledge of Cash Flow Forecasts
Adeptness in research
Demonstrated knowledge of Corporate Accounting
Account reconciliation experience desired
Accounting experience in publicly-traded company a plus
Skillful in analytical, quantitative and social skills
Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
Familiarity with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
