University of Utah Edible Campus Gardens Stewards in SALT LAKE CITY, Utah
The Sustainability Office is seeking Garden Stewards to support the Edible Campus Gardens program for the 2025 season. The Edible Campus Gardens mission is to engage the campus through garden-based education and urban food production to foster environmental stewardship, community resilience, and belonging on campus. The Edible Campus Gardens program is part of the Sustainability Office, which empowers students, employees, and the broader community through education, engagement, and collaborative action to build a sustainable future.Stewards will work independently and collaboratively with our team of faculty, staff, and student employees. Work will include maintaining the physical garden spaces, managing volunteers, supporting programming, and serving as student representatives for both the program and Sustainability Office. Stewards will learn professional skills and grow their understanding of sustainability at the University of Utah.Stewards work throughout the garden season over spring, summer, and fall, roughly March-November. Opportunities for winter work may be available but are not guaranteed.This position is open to all majors. This position is work-study eligible but work-study participation is not required.
