University of Utah Health Experience Community Coordinator in Salt Lake City, Utah

Experience Design Labs, which supports U of U Health’s workforce-focused co-design forums aimed at enhancing the healthcare work experience, is seeking an Experience Community Coordinator . Reporting to the Director of Experience Design, this role entails overseeing daily program operations and coordinating all programmatic activities. Responsibilities include administrative tasks, facilitating content development from concept to completion for Accelerate Learning Community (https://accelerate.uofuhealth.utah.edu/), as well as offering expanded support for multiple workforce-directed Experience Initiatives and Learning Collaboratives. Given its system-wide nature, this position involves interfacing with numerous departments and individuals within the health system, demanding a high degree of professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees daily program operations and coordinates program activities.

  • Develops and implements program goals and objectives.

  • Monitors program quality and effectiveness, and researches improvement methods.

  • Establishes program budget, monitors and approves related expenditures, and ensures budget goals are met.

  • Assists with fundraising activities.

  • Advises staff, students, and others, regarding program policies, goals and related technical issues.

  • Prepares reports, financial statements, as well as reports on program status, and progress for management, and outside agencies.

  • Writes and edits program related publications, and promotional or educational materials.

  • Oversees others who schedule meetings, seminars, and other program related functions.

  • Acts as a liaison between internal and external constituencies involved in program activities.

  • Works collaborative with the director and department staff in supporting departmental project needs.

  • May assign, direct, and review work of support staff.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined above.

  • Ability to work independently, analyze, and make decision related to program content.

  • Strong coordination and organizational skills required to prioritize deadlines.

  • Demonstrated human relations, and effective communication skills.

  • Ability to provide independent coordination and decision making for all activities of a specified program.

  • Proficiency in statistical and business software applications.

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalency.

  • One year of directly related experience.

Qualifications (Preferred)

Preferred

  • Experience with community organizing or non-profit work preferred.
