UTAH COMMUNITY ACTION Housing Case Manager in SALT LAKE CITY, Utah

This position would work 40 hours per week (approx. 8:00-5:00 pm Mon-Fri). The work location will vary based on need.

The Case Manager position earns a competitive wage of $22.94/hour. We also offer generous benefits, including health, dental, vision, a flexible spending account (FSA), a healthcare spending account (HSA) with up to a $2,500 employer match, a 401k plan with a 5% match, short and long-term disability, accident insurance, life insurance, 11 paid holidays, paid time off between Christmas and New Year's, paid time off - PTO, and an hour of paid time on Fridays for self-care.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A HOUSING CASE MANAGER

This position assists clients in accessing program services operated through Utah Community Action (UCA). You provide comprehensive and holistic housing case management and ongoing follow-up on referrals while working with several community partners. The objective of the case manager will be to work with families to become self-reliant and stably housed upon the completion of case management services. The case manager must maintain full compliance with all awarded funding sources, including but not limited to private, federal, state, and local governments.

You build positive working relationships by collaborating with staff and program partners to help clients. You are always professional, respectful, and conscientious about confidentiality. Motivated to develop your knowledge in social services continually, you participate in ongoing professional development through training, meetings, and educational courses. You get great satisfaction with helping empower individuals, strengthen families, and build communities!

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A HOUSING CASE MANAGER

  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or a related field - Required
  • Experience with Microsoft Office - Required
  • Prior Case Management experience - Required
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Excellent English skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
  • Strong data entry skills
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Ability to maintain knowledge about community resources, agencies, and referral procedures
  • Empathetic to individuals experiencing homelessness, regardless of their ethnic background, gender, or other demographic qualities.
  • Experience working with diverse populations and homeless individuals is preferred.
