Universal Engineering Sciences Lab Technician - Construction Materials Testing in Salt Lake City, Utah
As a Lab Technician, you will be responsible for testing soils, concrete, asphalt, and other construction materials. If you’re reliable, possess good work ethic, like to work in a team-oriented environment, and enjoy providing top-notch customer service, this is the position for you!
We provide on-the-job training and future construction materials testing certification possibilities for the right individuals.
Responsibilities
Soil testing (Sieve, PI, Proctors, Moisture, Expansion, Soundness, CBR, etc.)
Asphalt testing (Marshall, RICE, etc.)
Aggregate testing
Concrete/Grout/Mortar Testing (compression test, curing, coring, etc.)
Sample preparation
Electronic reporting
Field Sampling/pick-up
Other duties as assigned by Lab Supervisor
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma
Valid Driver's License, with good driving record
1 year of industry related experience
Willing to obtain certifications as needed/requested
HIGHLY Preferred Qualifications
- (1) One or more of the following certifications (Nuclear Gauge, ACI Field Grade 1, ACI Concrete Strength, ACI Masonry Testing Certification, Asphalt Testing)
