Northrop Grumman Mission Systems sector is seeking a Business Development Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals supporting the Space & Commercial Market Facing Team. This position will be located in Woodland Hills, CA, Salt Lake City, UT, or Mclean VA. Remote location may be considered.
The individual will report to the Space and Commercial Business Development Director within Strategy & Mission Solutions, leading efforts to identify, prioritize, develop and acquire program opportunities for the space navigation programs markets.
Responsibilities Include:
Market the space strategic product portfolio and capabilities
Technical knowledge of inertial products that support Space Applications
Development and assessment of new opportunities for space navigation systems
Development and maturation of contact plans
Promote expansion and growth within and among the DoD Services and Prime Contractors
Develop strategic proposal win themes, and support capture teams
Develop and implement win strategies
Support the business unit and profit & loss (P&L) leaders to achieve near-term and long-term growth targets
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of experience in Space Navigation Aerospace Industry
10 years experience in Business Development professional across a diverse set of business lines, products, customers, and countries
3+ years experience in executing and leading product growth activities
Working technical knowledge of inertial sensors, navigation technologies, GPS, and space market
Experience leading and collaborating with P&L counterparts
Experience in customer engagement strategy, position to win, price-to-win, and competitive analysis
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Active Secret Clearance
Must be a US citizen
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters of Science or MBA Degree and minimum of 10 years experience in space navigation domains
At least 15 years experience in business development with knowledge of the acquisition process
Proven track record on both competitive and non-competitive product growth activities
Existing relationships with Government agencies / Commercial companies in the space inertial domain
Knowledge of SalesForce application
Current Top Secret clearance
Salary Range: $149,400 - $224,000
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
