Job Title:  Privacy and Information Security Officer Job Description: DNR has an opening for a Privacy Officer II position in our Salt Lake City,UT office. This is a new position in response to new privacy standards established by the Utah State Legislature as well as DNR's broad data collection,data use,and records management needs. Establishing privacy best practices and policies will be a major responsibility of the position as well as performing information security and GRAMA-related tasks. The Privacy and Information Security Officer will work with many of DNR''s business units to help with records management and privacy/security controls and practices. The position is housed within the DNR Administration. This position requires organization,attention to detail,creative problem solving,and strong interpersonal/communication skills. Principal Duties:

• Develop and implement privacy policies,procedures,and guidelines (DNR's Privacy Program) to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Create or update records series descriptions,proposed retention schedules,and record series annotations.
• Conduct privacy impact assessments,audits,and gap analyses to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities to develop mitigation plans.
• Work with DTS data security staff and enterprise tools to implement and document system/information security controls and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on privacy and a resource for data security matters,providing guidance and support to division and department team members.
