Job Summary
The Software Quality Analyst, II is responsible for performing manual testing of applications and applying appropriate testing methods in order to ensure production release readiness.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
Define test cases
Perform appropriate tests including black box, integration, negative, regression, etc.
Document test results and escalate issues appropriately, create defects for test failures.
Work closely with the development team to communicate and demonstrate defects.
Work closely with QA Automation Engineers to incorporate manual tests into automation suites.
Partner with Business Analysts on acceptance criteria and sizing efforts
Participate in defect triage efforts
Contribute to deployment readiness discussions
Skills & Knowledge:
Strong working knowledge of QA best practices and appropriate use of test methods.
Proven ability to quickly understand complex and nuanced business processes and rules
Use of defect tracking systems.
Testing within an Agile environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Basic knowledge level of SQL to assist with testing efforts
Use of Selenium or other automation tools is a bonus

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s + 4 years of directly related work experience; OR
Master’s + 2 years of directly related work experience.
Assumes work equivalency (1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience).
