The Strategic Account Executive is responsible for the overall partnership success, retention and growth of health plan clients. In this role, the Strategic Account Executive serves as a trusted advisor to understand the client’s strategic priorities, challenges, and goals.
Serve as the senior level contact responsible for establishing and managing relationships with senior client executives and key decision makers
Successfully retain and grow client partnerships
Coordinate with leaders across functions to address client challenges and ensure service meets and exceeds SLAs and KPIs
Briefs senior leadership on overall account health; proactively addresses account challenges/barriers and drives solutions
Responsible for execution of client meetings and Joint Operating Committee sessions with customer leadership (monthly, quarterly, bi-annual and annual, etc.)
Partner with the client and teams internally to execute on key operational initiatives
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university.
8+ years of account management or business development experience working with senior executives at health plans, health systems, medical group practices or other healthcare organizations as an AVP or VP.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills with demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence both credibly and effectively at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level
Commercial acumen and a proven track record of successfully driving renewals and new business development
Ability to connect with diverse constituents and stakeholders across cross-functional teams (leadership, marketing, account management, product and development, data and analytics, market operations and clinical)
Demonstrated self-starter and ability to work collaboratively in a team atmosphere
Proven ability to operative successfully in remote role (pending COVID-19 and willingness to travel to customer sites as may be required in the future for onsite meetings)
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MBA or other Master-level degree preferred.
