JOB SUMMARY
Develop and maintain external and internal relationships with County agencies, agency leadership and staff, vendors, and industry peers, to connect agency programs and services with partners to achieve mutual goals. Leads staff to evaluate the effectiveness of communication, strategic business objectives and creating and implementing improvement plans.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Public Administration, Business, Communications, Public Relations, Public Policy, Marketing, or other closely related field, plus six (6)years of related experience; OR an equivalent combination of related education and experience.
A valid Driver’s License issued by the State of Utah may be required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Builds short and long-term agency-wide strategies to increase the reach and impact of services. Conceptualizes new strategic initiatives to improve the effectiveness and understanding of services.
Works with agency leadership to identify, develop and manage partnership opportunities with other agencies and industry peers. Manages and tracks external partnership opportunities.
Establishes and maintains positive relationships with agencies, internal teams, and community partners to ensure exceptional customer service and communication to all organizations.
Identifies agency’s strengths, capabilities, and gaps to increase quality, effectiveness, and timeliness through partnerships, communication, and relationship building.
Serves as an agency liaison with elected officials, the Mayor's Office, department directors, and division directors throughout Salt Lake County and it's municipalities, to understand, address, and communicate internal and external needs.
Assists in evaluating, developing, and implementing new recommended practices, plans, and process improvement methods to address the needs of agencies, and various projects and programs. This may involve more in-depth iterations with various programs and projects.
Develops, advocates, and advises directors and agency leadership on strategic methods and goals. Serves as a lead on policy discussion that will impact strategic goals and objectives.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position is generally in an office environment. Telecommuting flexibility will be considered.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING THIS POSITION
This position may be required to work after hours and/or on the weekends depending on the agency needs.
