Job Title:  Engineer II Job Description: The candidate will collaborate with river commissioners and regional staff to create water right distribution models for the state. The candidate will assist water users and staff in understanding distribution accounting models. The employee will work with the data and automation teams to determine new measurement locations to meet modeling needs. Principal Duties:

• Creating visual schematics,accounting schematics,and priority schedules using information from commissioners,regional engineers,and distribution engineers. 
• Identifying where new measurements need to go based on schematics and priority schedules. 
• Identifying locations where there is measurement but we do not have access. 
• Making new models based on established practices for simple river systems. 
• Take over the development and maintenance of less complex models. 
• Teach users how to operate and read models.

Ideal Candidate:

• Excellent written communication skills. 
• Ability to verbally communicate complex ideas to stakeholders. 
• Listen and comprehend concerns expressed by stakeholders. 
• Ability to use technical skills to analyze water right systems and develop solutions. 
• Experience in hydrology,groundwater flow,and hydraulics.
