Job Title:Aircraft Structures Mechanic II Job Type: Full time; Consultant (9+ Months) Pay Rate: $35.00-40.00 per hour Schedule: Monday to Friday;All submitted candidates should be available to work variable shifts based on business need, 1st and 2nd. PER DIEM and BONUS OFFERED: Per diem is authorized for structures mechanics only to the amount of $600.00/week (candidates must be eligible for per diem) Program is offering an assignment completion bonus of $10,000.00 (contingent upon completion/passing of training, obtaining PL1 access and 180 visits through the PL1 turnstile). *Returning contractors who have already received a bonus are now eligible for this completion bonus. *Tenured contractors are also eligible for another completion bonus at 360, 540 etc. through the turnstile

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 years of on-aircraft heavy structures experience.

  • Knowledgeable in shop mathematics and practices

  • Experience in working with schematics, specifications, assembly drawings and standard operating procedures.

  • Proficient in computer skills including but not limited to: aircraft related systems and basic office software.

Preferred (Not required) Qualifications:

  • Experience with Very Important Person (VIP) aircraft or specialty aircraft interiors installations within the last ten (10) years.

  • FAA certification in Airframe and/or Power Plant license

Skills Showcase:

  • Close tolerance drilling, reaming, removal, and installation to critical support structuresincluding doublers, triplers, seat tracks, planks, stringers, etc.

  • Thorough knowledge of aircraft repair procedures and part replacement.

  • Familiarity with aircraft sheet metal/structural modifications and repair.

  • Proficiency in using unique aircraft tools.

  • Locating blind holes for new structural components.

  • Sealing, painting, shimming, and preserving structures.

  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical orders.

  • Operating specialized equipment.

  • This mechanic will maintain, repair and modify aircraft structures and structural components of moderate difficulty, maintains and repairs aircraft components including but not limited to:

    • flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components, applies technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions and applies required expertise in restoring equipment condition and or operation, and applies comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems by interpreting technical documentation such as; blueprints or manufacturers manuals.
