Our Assistant Manager will be a key player in maintaining the high standards of service and management that our residents expect.

Position Summary

The Assistant Manager will support the Property Manager in all aspects of property management, including leasing, resident relations, maintenance coordination, and day-to-day operations. This individual will help ensure the smooth operation of the property, assist with financial management, and contribute to creating a positive living environment for residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leasing & Marketing:

  • Assist with leasing efforts, including showing units to prospective tenants and managing online listings.

  • Collaborate with the Property Manager to develop and execute marketing strategies.

  • Assist with resident retention initiatives and community events.

  • Resident Relations:

  • Address resident inquiries, concerns, and maintenance requests in a timely, professional manner.

  • Help mediate and resolve conflicts between residents or between residents and staff.

  • Conduct move-in and move-out inspections and ensure apartments are in move-in ready condition.

  • Financial Management:

  • Assist the Property Manager in rent collection, budgeting, and financial reporting.

  • Handle delinquencies, monitor payment plans, and follow up on outstanding balances.

  • Prepare weekly and monthly financial and occupancy reports for management review.

  • Operations & Maintenance:

  • Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure timely and quality repairs.

  • Conduct regular property inspections to ensure all common areas are well-maintained.

  • Monitor compliance with safety regulations, including fire safety and building codes.

  • Administrative Support:

  • Maintain accurate records of leases, renewals, and resident information.

  • Assist with preparing lease agreements and ensuring compliance with company policies and local laws.

  • Support the Property Manager in training and supervising office and maintenance staff as needed.

    Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years recent experience as an Assistant Manager in property management

  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.

  • Knowledge of property management software (e.g., Yardi, RealPage) is preferred.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Familiarity with Fair Housing laws and local regulations.
