TEKsystems Cyber Security Analyst in San Antonio, Texas
Description:
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of information security protocols and a passion for protecting the clients healthcare data. In this role the candidate will be instrumental in establishing and maintaining security standards.
The candidate will be required to develop, implement and manage security solutions; the candidate must demonstrate the ability to communicate complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
The candidate champions awareness and influences compliance with security policies and provides solutions for business specific security issues. Oversees day to day identity access management and quarterly required audits. Owns and oversees the disaster recovery plans; coordinates business continuity plans with the compliance and risk management team. Serves as a thought leader and enterprise SME for Federal and State information security regulations and standards.
FUNCTIONS/BEHAVIORS
Contribute to the formulation and maintenance of policies and procedures that supports cyber security and risk governance program. (E 15%)
Work closely with the Risk Management team to conduct cybersecurity audits, assessments and to ensure compliance with security standards and regulations, such as HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC and NIST etc. (E 15%)
Analyze IT security threats, understand risk, articulate operational impact and work as part of a team dedicated to achieving and maintaining compliance to all applicable regulations. (E 15%)
Collaborate with development and technical staff to coordinate and remediate security issues and risks as it relates to operational systems. (E 10%)
Oversee and manage the reporting of remediation activities and coordinate continuous risk remediation efforts with leadership team. (E 15%)
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the cyber security program and provide feedback and recommendations on security best practices and enhancements. (E 10%)
Participate in the review of third-party security controls, complete vendor assessment of services/contracts (applications, hosting, systems, etc.) that involve the collection, processing, transmission, or storage of all data. (E 10%)
Appropriately adapt assigned work and customer assistance methods to accommodate the unique cultural needs of the customer. (E, 5%)
Supports the mission, vision, and values of the client. Demonstrates established customer service behaviors and standards. Treats all customers with courtesy, dignity, respect, and professionalism. (E, 5%)

1) Healthcare experience is a PLUS.
2) Logging - Familiarity with enterprise logging technologies such as Splunk
3) 5 years’ minimum with below technologies or areas:
o Network Security: IDS/IPS, NGFW, NGAV
o Operating Systems: Windows, Linux, macOS.
o Security: EDR/XDR, SIEMs, Data Loss and Prevention (DLP), Vulnerability Scanning and Assessment tools.
