Who we’re looking for
Toyota’s Internal Logistics Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Senior Assembly Conveyance Engineer.
The primary responsibility of this role is to lead a cross-functional team at Toyota Motor Manufacturing in San Antonio, Texas (Internal Logistics, Assembly, Weld, Safety) & TMNA PE to implement internal logistics change points related to space and part flow.
Reporting to the Manager of PC Projects, the person in this role will support the Internal Logistics Department Hoshin as related to the Senior Engineering role.
What you’ll be doing
Independently specified and designs equipment for Internal Logistics processes within Assy, incorporating no-touch and automated solutions (new model and mass production)
Leads the implementation of SOAR safety and efficiency standards, processes, and equipment changes in 1 shop
With support, leads cross-functional team at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Texas (Int. Log, Assy, Safety) & TMNA PE (FAE, ILE) to implement internal logistics change points related to space and commodities
Decision Matrix development
Cost Planning
Creates, manages, and gets approval with minimal assistance for Ringi Projects (>250K) ( Small Assembly Lines and Parts delver systems)
Use TPS tools to support the development of standardized work considering built-in quality at the process level
Identify opportunities to simply existing/future equipment designs and lead implementations of these kaizens
What you bring
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
AutoCAD/Inventor experience.
Project management experience.
Equipment design/spec experience.
This position requires driving. A motor vehicle record that’s acceptable by company standards is required for this position.
Added bonus if you have
Budget – develop/management experience.
Manufacturing process knowledge (automotive preferred).
Internal/External logistics knowledge (total supply chain familiarity).
Vendor management experience.
