Robert Half Internal Audit - Data Analyst in San Antonio, Texas

Description We are looking for a dedicated Financial Data Analyst to join our team in the financial services industry. Based in San Antonio, Texas, this role is focused on data science within an Internal Audit group, with an emphasis on modernizing modeling techniques.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with other data scientists and actuaries in the modernization modeling team

• Develop pricing and underwriting models under the direct guidance of modeling leads

• Complete model documentation and operational procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements

• Attend project update and stand-up meetings, providing progress updates either verbally or in written form

• Undertake other tasks and projects as assigned by modeling leads

• Utilize SQL and Python to work on large-sized datasets with heterogeneous data types

• Apply predictive modeling techniques, including GLM, GBM, Feature Selection, Parameter Tuning, Model Diagnostics, and Performance Evaluation

• Use various Python packages for predictive modeling development, including H2O, sklearn, statsmodels, scipy, numpy, and pandas

• Use Confluence for effective team collaboration and communication

• Apply data mining techniques and create dashboards for data visualization and reporting

• Perform data analysis and data mapping to support business decision-making

• Use Jupyter Notebook for data processing and predictive model development. Requirements • Proficiency in financial data analysis and interpretation

• Demonstrated skill in data mining techniques

• Ability to create and manage dashboards

• Expertise in data mapping and data modeling

• Solid understanding of SQL and Python programming languages

• Familiarity with Jupyter and Jupyter Notebook

• Knowledge of Confluence software for collaboration

• Experience in the financial services industry

• Ability to work independently and with a team

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or related field

• Relevant certifications or advanced degree are a plus

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with industry regulations.
