*Project Manager Enterprise System Development Engineering *

Manages, plans, executes and supports the design and implementation of computer based enterprise wide application solutions aligned with industry and company standards as well as emerging business requirements. Supervises the direct work of others and/or manages assigned staff to solve business problems or improve planning, control, or operating results and objectives. Works in close collaboration with team members, end users and other IS departments to meet the company's goals and implement solutions that leverage technology to accomplish strategic business objectives.

• Provides operational support for assigned application solution(s), IS functional teams and business users as a lead for highly complex projects and/or enhancements to existing architecture. This includes the use of Valero's system to track support activities. Works on the design and implementation of infrastructure technology projects as a project manager, project manager of multiple projects or the management of project managers of small projects. Responsibilities will include the successful and reliable implementation of a cost effective highly complex systems and architecture while meeting business needs.
• Works on highly complex tasks for the design, development, operation, maintenance and upgrade of information system core services for the enterprise wide software involving SAP solutions and the system administration of information systems and supporting subsystems. This includes, but is not limited to: application installations, upgrades, support pack, transport management, system refreshes, database/system restores, performance turning, trouble-shooting, problem-solving, issue resolution, user interaction, training, defining systems scope, gathering requirements, documenting design specifications, research and fact-finding, configuration, testing, reporting, cutover, IS and business user coordination.
• Maintains effective working relationships with business users, IS departments and Valero business partners across all departmental and functional lines at all levels and connecting to user groups and frontline management.
• Demonstrates a broad mastery of an entire horizontal infrastructure discipline and associated application/hardware integration while continuously looking for opportunities to improve, streamline, reinvent processes and technology gaps.
• Helps coordinate the adoption of new procedures resulting from software and hardware changes, including the development of system specifications, documentation, training, and communication plans.
• Performs analysis on and recommends quality highly complex solutions to infrastructure technology disciplines and stays abreast of emerging cost effective technologies. Brings operational efficiency through information integration and management.
• Solves highly technical and complex problems for one or more projects and provides advanced problem solving and technical support for multiple SAP modules.
• Understands, improves and mentors others on the various IT methodologies which include project management, development, service management and system architecture.
• Develops and facilitates presentations to communicate new methods/ideas, system designs, and project analysis.

Qualifications:

Minimum Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher), or foreign degree equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
• A minimum of ten (10) years of overall experience in the following area(s): o Business experience in SAP, to include a comprehensive understanding of SAP MM/SD along with an in-depth understanding of sub-processes like Pricing, Order-To-Cash, Procure-To-Pay, inventory planning and scheduling. o Technical experience in SAP, to include at least 5 years of experience in ABAP programming using ABAP OO, RFCs, BAPIs and business application development. o Technical experience in the latest SAP S/4HANA development methodologies, using RAP framework and CDS views, AMDP for data modeling. o Technical experience in integration technologies like SAP PI and/or SoftwareAG webMethods. o Project management experience.
