Position Summary:

The Senior Marketing Analyst (Business Operations) position actively assists in facilitating Clean Products Value Chain (CPVC) – West Division’s goals and strategies through data analytics to develop recommendations and provide actionable information to decision makers. The individual will have the opportunity to interact with CPVC Commercial Market field personnel and management, as well as internal stakeholders (including but not limited to IT, Pricing/Trading, Supply, Business Planning & Analysis (BP&A), Law and Finance). This individual will have the opportunity to participate in both internal projects as well as cross-functional initiatives that optimize value for the enterprise. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the refined products segments, exceptional attention to detail, an entrepreneurial mindset, demonstrated history of innovation, and highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerBI or Tableau.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements comprehensive reporting for the assigned business unit, consisting of various reporting responsibilities ranging from short-term (daily) to monthly and annual comparisons.

  • Serves as a lead in assisting marketing field members with ad-hoc analysis, forecasting, contract analysis, and financial model analysis. Supports the field with daily, weekly, and monthly allocation/analysis requests. Supports budget and other internal processes as needed.

  • Leads sales forecasting, sales reporting, and other analytical data.

  • Maintains the West Division Brand Economic Model and Programs

  • Analyzes opportunities using financial models to support commercial offers

  • Supports coast-to-coast model development efforts

  • West Division Wholesale Salesforce deal setup, entry and maintenance

  • Responsible for periodic reporting (product calls, operational, 90-day, under-lift)

  • Serves as a lead in assisting management and business partners in the ongoing development and analysis of data necessary to measure profitability of various classes of trade and markets. Serves as a contact for Business Development and IT project-related work.

  • Pricing Support

  • Supports rack review reporting and facilitates recurring meetings

  • Supports West Division Pricing Discount Programs and Reporting

  • Facilities West NPR/NBR Process for West Division Pricing

  • Backup for Pricing, West Pricing System Setup & Maintenance

  • Works in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool to address cases created by customers, and submits and evaluates opportunities, operational changes and addresses other internal requests as necessary.

  • Stays informed of industry trends, regulations, economic conditions, and commercial and consumer needs to make educated recommendations on marketing strategies and business opportunities.

  • Supports strategies to enhance commercial value. Maintains positive customer relationships and promptly addresses customer concerns.

  • Identifies and implements business process improvement ideas that create internal process efficiencies and/or reduce transactional or administrative costs for customers. Supports digital innovation efforts and continuous & innovative process improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Finance, or other related discipline required or five (5) years of experience in lieu.

  • Five (5) or more years of experience in Analytics, Pricing, Fuel Marketing Sales, Revenue and Profitability Management, or other related experience required. Experience with an emphasis in qualitative and quantitative analysis or relevant work experience, preferably in fuels marketing, product supply & logistics, or business analysis preferred.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Finance, or other related discipline required or five (5) years of experience in lieu.• Five (5) or more years of experience in analytics, pricing, fuel marketing sales, revenue and profitability management, or other related experience required.
