Vertex Solutions Site Lead, DIU PTT in San Antonio, Texas
Title: Site Lead, DIU PTT Reports to: Program Manager, PTT Classification: Exempt Location: San Antonio, TX Full-Time/Part-Time: Full-time
Vertex Solutions is looking for an On-Site Lead with a minimum of five years’ DoD-related project management experience, demonstrated experience in the management of personnel and ability to manage the logistics of a program. The On-Site Manager will work primarily from an Air Force base in San Antonio, TX, with 5% - 10% travel required. Familiarity with AETC aircrew instruction and/or VR simulation-based training is required.

Oversee on-site operations at Randolph and lead subsequent locations (Vance, Columbus, Laughlin, etc) in support of a complex project with multiple on-site support personnel.
Managing the installation and execution of VR Training Devices supporting UPT
Coordinate all logistics/requirements with gov for installation within gov spaces
Manage customer relationships and expectations
Work with Vertex Business Unit Lead and Program Manager to interview and hire staff required
Coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget, and inform management in a timely manner of variances from plan
Develop and maintain an accurate risk tracking document with an associated mitigation plan
Develop a process for regular gathering and coordination of student feedback with Government stakeholders and Vertex developers
Schedule/Organize/Attend progress meetings with Government stakeholders, site managers, and Vertex senior management, taking appropriate actions when necessary
Work with the other site managers to maintain an effective quality assurance program and standardization within the program.
Provide excellent customer service to contractors, partners, government agencies etc. to resolve issues and ensure client satisfaction
Create status reports and communicate status to internal and external stakeholders
Manage the Program’s component logistic/supply chain activities
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Good analytical and problem-solving skills to assess needs and recommend solutions
Ability to create products with extremely high attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to interact with team members and stakeholders in a problem-solving, constructive manner
Ability to successfully manage and meet multiple, simultaneous project deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Must be organized, detail oriented, and customer service focused
This position will have multiple direct and indirect reports as required to meet contract requirements.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full time, exempt position.
Travel 5% - 10% travel is anticipated for this position. Main travel locations are other AETC pilot training bases, other various PTT locations as designated by the Gov and Champaign, IL.
Required Education, Experience, and Skills
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution; Master’s degree a plus
5+ years of experience managing projects/programs within or for the DoD
Expert proficiency with MS Project, MS Word, and MS Excel
Previous experience as an AETC Instructor Pilot
Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
VR simulation-based training experience
Familiarity with UPT training technologies
Additional Eligibility Qualifications Eligible for Secret clearance
