Labcorp Executive Director Market Access Growth Strategy in San Diego, California
The Executive Director, Market Access Growth Strategy is responsible for leading and driving market access strategy to support development and maintenance of strategic client relationships, acquiring new business through acquisition, and/or internal build, and generating ideas for new client services. The Executive Director, Market Access Growth Strategy helps drive the growth and development of patient support services by partnering with business development, marketing, and operations to identify and design client solutions that leverage multiple service lines, to achieve annual growth and revenue targets. In addition, the role will liaise with other internal business groups to drive expansion of new services that leverage capabilities in other Covance and Labcorp business units. The Executive Director, Market Access Growth Strategy will be responsible for establishing processes and best practices to leverage internal commercial resources related to alliance management, demand leads, and strategic deal development. The Executive Director, Market Access Growth Strategy will partner with business leads on technology, business acquisition initiatives, and expanding services globally.
Has a keen understanding of the industry, market, industry technology, mergers and acquisitions, global contact center services, and our clients, and leverages that experience to grow a portfolio of innovative and profitable business
Facilitates new and existing relationships at senior operational levels with vendor partners, industry consultants, among other stakeholders, and guides teams in delivering to establish/maintain effective client relationships
Supports and drives high quality end-to-end business development strategies, including standards for BD opportunity intelligence, vetting, and pursuit decisions; RFI/RFP response; bid defense preparation and content; and site visit execution and delivery
Partners with marketing to support our visibility, including publications/Webinars and presentations at conferences and key industry meetings
Drives coordination between sales team and operational staff in business development activities
Participates in generating ideas for new services and capabilities based on client needs
Participates in initiatives related to new technology and potential business merger and acquisition activities
Engages with Market Access Patient Support Solutions, Safety, Diagnostics and Clinical Development leadership to help drive and implement initiatives, including cross-functional integrated opportunities, to grow and expand the PSS organization.
Helps to define and implement Market Access strategy; translates this into key initiatives and priorities, particularly as it relates to Pan-Covance/Labcorp initiatives.
Supports the development of an expanded bench of Subject Matter Experts with greater depth of skills to pursue business development opportunities
In partnership with Executive Directors, Patient Support Services, drives the development and implementation of client engagement strategies for current clients to expand into new service lines

Bachelor’s degree required
Advanced degree preferred
12 or more years of market access and/or growth strategy experience
Demonstrated ability to be effective in a matrixed environment
Broader level client relationships and business development experience
Demonstrated vision, strategy, and growth experience
