Rady Children's Hospital San Diego Health Psychologist - Behavioral Sleep Psychology in San Diego, California

Casual 1-year position and subject to renew.

The Center for Healthy Sleep at Rady Children’s Hospital is seeking a full time behavioral sleep psychologist to join a growing section of Sleep Medicine at Rady Children’s Hospital/University of California San Diego (UCSD). The Center for Healthy Sleep is a robust sleep lab performing 3000 sleep studies a year on children. Rady Children’s Hospital has been named on the the U.S. News & World Report 2023-2024 Best Children’s Hospital Honor Roll. Providing care to close to 300K children across the greater San Diego area, the Center for Healthy Sleep is one of the largest sleep labs in the state of California.

The Section of Sleep Medicine is seeking a transformative behavioral sleep psychologist to lead the section forward to provide care, education, advocacy and research for children with behavioral sleep disorders, ranging from insomnia to adherence to PAP therapy. Formal certification in behavioral sleep medicine is highly desired.

Led by Rakesh Bhattacharjee, MD, CBSM, DBSM with training in behavioral sleep medicine, the section desires to provide state of the art care for children and adolescents with all types of sleep disorders. This position in sleep psychology will be highly collaborative with the Rady Brain and Behavior Institute, and the UCSD Center for Circadian Biology and Joint Clinical Psychology program with UCSD and San Diego State University (SDSU).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Doctorate Degree (non MD)

2 years of experience

CA Licensed Psychologist

BLS for Healthcare Providers, issued by AHA

Successfully complete the credentialing process through Medical Staff Services

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

3 years of experience

Academic emphasis on assessment of children and child development

The expected hiring range for this position is $50.43 to $69.35
