Insight Global Manufacturing Engineer in San Diego, California

Job Description

Insight Global is looking to hire a Manufacturing Engineer to join a semiconductor client in San Diego. The Manufacturing Engineer will join a team in support of the integration of design from client HQ. They will be responsible for the acquiring and ensuring receipt of necessary tools for San Diego to execute on design. Throughout execution of design, the Manufacturing Engineer will review, critique, and modify SOPs/written procedures. About 50% of this Manufacturing Engineer's day may be spent in the clean room working with tools putting large modules into assembly, troubleshooting, and configuring robotic arm for execution of the larger design received from international HQ. It will be very important to be detail-oriented, organized, and have a self-starter, solution-oriented, and flexible/adaptable mindset to thrive in this role.

Pay range: $50-53.50/hour

Skills and Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering

* 2+ years of experience reviewing, modifying, critiquing written SOPs -- important to have understanding of how procedures work (i.e. computer program diagnostics (CPD))

* 2+ years of hands-on experience with tools i.e. precisely putting large modules into assembly, troubleshooting, robotic arms requiring continued adjusting and configuring for execution

* 2+ years of experience of interfacing with international stakeholders and teammates

* 2+ years of logistics-related or project management/coordination experience overseeing the acquisition and receipt of tools allocated to San Diego

* Required self-starter mentality, flexible and adaptable mentality, solution-oriented mindset Optics experience null
