Job Title: Manufacturing Technician
Job Description
Execute manufacturing and quality tasks according to Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, and/or Batch Records. Handle DNA and sensitive reagents (i.e. enzymes) in various tubes and plate formats (i.e. 96 well matrix plates). Operate and troubleshoot analytical equipment, such as automated electrophoresis and plate readers. Operate liquid handler and assist engineering team with basic troubleshooting. Collect, analyze and interpret quality data; respond and escalate issues to supervisor or engineering team as needed. Track and maintain a correct inventory of materials (including a wide variety of raw materials and finished goods in a plate and/or tube format) through cycle counts; order and receipt of materials. Maintain a clean and safe work area; assist in driving 6S activities. Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team with scientists, engineers, and manufacturing personnel to support R&D and process improvement activities to meet production goals.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in San Diego, California.
Work Environment
Day to Day: 70% Bench Lab work, 30% Meetings and Analyzing Data. Working with different studies and assisting as needed. Schedule: Mon-Friday, 8-4:30/5, some flexibility required.
