What You'll Do

  • Carry out assigned laboratory functions applying knowledge and skill in an accurate, timely manner.

  • Conduct simple experimentation including data collection, summary, and analysis in support of department projects and protocols.

  • Perform tasks assigned by senior staff as trained with minimal supervision.

  • Perform daily tasks to maintain lab including cleaning, inventorying, and ordering of supplies.

  • Maintain clear and accurate records of experiments in a laboratory notebook and Engineering protocols.

  • Operate lab equipment and conduct tasks in a safe manner, adhering to established guidelines and applicable regulations.

  • Knowledgeable of federal and other regulations, e.g. QSR’s, ISO, ISO 13485, CMDR

  • Carries out duties in compliance with established business policies.

  • Demonstrates commitment to the development, implementation and effectiveness of Abbott Quality Management System per ISO, FDA, and other regulatory agencies.

  • Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal/external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company’s policies and practices.

  • Understands and is aware of the quality consequences which may occur from the improper performance of their specific job. Has awareness of device defects that may occur in their area of responsibility, including product design, verification and validation, manufacturing, and testing activities.

  • Perform other duties & projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma is required. Preferred is BA/BS in biology, chemistry, or related field with laboratory coursework directly applicable to duties.

  • A minimum of 1-year experience in the a laboratory setting.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Has experience with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Adaptable and willing to take on multiple new tasks and responsibilities.

  • Ability to work independently and in a group environment.

  • Meticulous, highly organized, and efficiency skills are highly desirable.

  • Able to work with a variety of people on multiple tasks.

  • Capable of reading a protocol and executing task with minimal supervision.

  • Experience producing buffers, solutions, gold colloid conjugates, and testing is desirable.

The base pay for this position is $21.33 – $42.67 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
