Project Manager
Roles and Responsibilities
Manage EPC/Design-Build Transmission Line, Substation, and Distribution projects
Ensure that all PM responsibilities are addressed, including developing & maintaining schedules, leading internal and external project status meetings, budgeting and scheduling maintenance, preparing proposals, and taking a significant role in client relationships
Estimating EPC/Design-Build Transmission Line, Substation, and Distribution projects
Client interface and action item resolution
Maintain proper cost accounting, ensuring invoicing and change orders are timely and in accordance with contract requirements
Manage and maintain project schedules
Identify potential scheduling delays, develop and implement corrective actions
Manage and maintain weekly project reporting to include P360 (Internal proprietary software) Daily updating
Manage daily QA reporting and report approval in P360
Manage material delivery status and update schedules with any material delays
Attend and manage weekly sub-contractor update meetings and maintain sub-contractor agendas
Work with the field Construction Managers and Inspectors to ensure accurate project reports
Ensure RFI responses are tracked and resolved in accordance with the contract
Review and reconcile sub-contractor invoices for accuracy
Adapt to and promote company culture and manage internal and external relationships
Provide internal mentoring and leadership to junior team members as assigned and as a regular order of business
Manage project teams in a matrixed reporting environment
Develop estimates and proposals
This position will likely require travel for both regional and national clients
Required Education/Experience
8+ years of experience in transmission line, substation and/or distribution project management
Must be familiar with power delivery line and substation design processes
Must have successful track record of leading project teams
Must have a good understanding of project management techniques and approaches, to applying project controls during project execution
Must have successful track record of competitively estimating transmission line and substation construction projects
Must have a good understanding of estimating principles and experience using industry standard estimating platforms
Desired Education/Experience
14+ years of experience in transmission line, substation and distribution project management
Bachelor of Science degree in electrical, civil, or mechanical engineering or technical management and/or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business Administration and/or related field experience
PMP
Experience in estimating and assembling proposals for transmission line, substation and/or distribution projects
Familiarity with CPM scheduling and project estimating and scheduling techniques and software
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and P6 software
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Experience with stakeholder management
Ability to work with minimal supervision

Base Salary Range: $75,000 - $163,000 per year
The range for this position is being displayed in compliance with all state and local regulations. Salaries are set based on a number of factors to include an individual's job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. This means that no two candidates are alike. The range provided above does not include additional compensation such as bonus, health benefits, vacation, 401(k) match, etc.
