Description
We are supporting a leading manufacturing company in Downtown San Diego that is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage full-cycle general ledger activities. This role includes overseeing month and year-end close, managing fixed assets, and handling depreciation. The position is contract or contract-to-hire, offering a great opportunity for someone looking to advance their accounting career in the manufacturing sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform full-cycle general ledger accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Manage fixed assets and depreciation schedules, ensuring compliance with company policies.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, providing insights for management.
Collaborate with the finance team on audits and special projects as needed.
Requirements
Proven experience in full-cycle accounting, including GL, month-end, and year-end close.
Experience with fixed asset management and depreciation.
Strong proficiency in accounting software and Excel.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
