Insight Global Senior Electrical Engineer in San Diego, California

Job Description

Our client is a global full-service engineering firm that is looking to add Sr. Electrical Engineers to their California practice.

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will act as the Firms representative in all interactions with clients, contractors, architects, and other project team members. Your role will involve designing large-scale projects, preparing reports and specifications, and providing high-level technical leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer consulting services, including due diligence reports, gap analyses, and feasibility studies.

  • Develop sustainable design solutions, creating concepts and detailed drawings.

  • Supervise the production of drawings to ensure they meet client requirements and standards.

  • Coordinate with the design team, owners, and contractors.

  • Establish design standards, specifications, and criteria for projects.

  • Prepare proposals and manage project contracts between firm and clients, including Add Service Agreements.

  • Engage in business development activities, participate in trade organizations, and prepare presentations.

  • Set project budgets and schedules.

  • Participate in the QA/QC process for completed work by staff.

  • Manage and review staff resources.

Skills and Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering

  • 8 years of experience in Electrical Engineering at a consulting firm

  • 3 years' experience as a PM or supervisor

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit

  • Professional Engineer (PE) in California - Experience with various building types (mission critical, life science, R&D facilities, etc.)

  • LEED AP accreditation null
