Amazon Tech Business Development Manager, Alexa BDSA in San Diego, California

In this role, you will be working with the top companies supporting seniors to develop incredible experiences using the Alexa voice service.

Key job responsibilities

Your responsibilities include defining and driving the partnership strategy with leading companies supporting seniors. You will foster relationships with CxO level leaders in those organizations and be the voice of the partner to shape the Alexa Smart Properties (ASP) product and business strategy. Alexa Smart Properties’ charter is to build and enable indispensable, frustration-free, Alexa experiences for properties worldwide – starting with senior living, hotels, and healthcare facilities. • Define the Alexa Smart Properties senior living strategy to bring compelling experiences to customers • Identify and recruit key partners and build both executive and working-level relationships across technical and business disciplines • Lead complex contract negotiations defining key technical, financial, and business commitments • Understand the technical and business requirements of our partners and work closely with the internal teams to guide the direction of our roadmap

A day in the life

In this role, you will be the external face of Alexa Smart Properties for seniors and will work with Amazon product, engineering, and marketing leaders to define product and business strategy that delivers results for customers and our business. You will utilize technical skills and business acumen to create strategic partnerships that deliver innovative new experiences customers worldwide.

About the team

The Alexa Smart Properties Business Development Team operates with individual autonomy and ownership, where business development managers are single threaded owner of their partnerships. We are results oriented, take a collaborative approach to the business, and foster a culture of innovation to improve the customer and partner experience.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience

  • 5+ years of professional or military experience

  • Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

  • Bachelors or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
