The role of Technical Business Analyst involves defining and managing changes to the company's systems based on business requirements, ensuring robust analysis and documentation throughout the process. The successful candidate will lead efforts to gather and analyze current and future system requirements, identify opportunities for improvement, and produce detailed business cases and proposals. They will also facilitate collaboration among stakeholders, support business unit initiatives, and ensure the effective implementation of new processes and systems.

Based in San Diego with required travel to Mexico and Australia (10-20% of the time), this position demands strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage complex projects in a dynamic environment. This role comprises of approximately 70% in-person support and 30% remote support.

Your main responsibilities:

• Define scope, manage change, and ensure correct level of challenge is made to the business’ systems requirements.

• Gather “as is” and “to be” requirements, identifying key stakeholders using RACI or similar techniques.

• Identify ways to improve current processes and systems and/or identify new improved systems.

• Produce business case documentation and proposals based on the above analysis.

• Support creating budgets and cost-benefit analysis to justify project investments, define ROI prioritize/order proposal for benefits realisation.

• Lead scoping meetings and workshops analysing complexities with business requirements and create and deliver systems and architecture plans.

• Facilitate conversations and workshops with different people to ensure comprehensive collaboration.

• Undertake process and functional efficiency reviews and provide recommendations for improvement.

• Support business unit initiatives providing governance and professional services to promote and support internal changes.

• Maintain and create process flow diagrams, business requirements, and project documentation.

• Produce progress reports and undertake reviews (health-check and process reviews).

• Support the design, testing, and implementation of new processes and systems requirements.

• Carry out any other duties which are within the employee’s skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed.

Requirements for the role:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or related field.

• Minimum of 4 years’ experience as a Technical Business Analyst or equivalent role.

• Proficient in techniques such as Agile, Lean, SDLC, Kanban.

• Proficiency in various computer applications. Experience in ERP and MRP system design and wider business systems including HRIS, CRM, Automation, and IOT.

• TOGAF, PMP certified (desirable).

• Excellent data analysis and critical thinking skills, open-minded mentality for new ideas.

• Excellent software development skills such as testing and designing.

• Good verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to organise meetings and prepare clear software documentations.

• Ability to build key relationships across global business managing stakeholders to find solutions for technical challenges.
